How to specify a U-bolt
- DIN 3570 size (DN) or pipe outside diameter. Pipe OD, not nominal bore, decides the fit.
- For non-standard U-bolts: inside width, inside height to the top of the bend, thread size, thread length and round or square bend.
- Material and finish: hot-dip galvanized for outdoor pipe racks and solar structures; A4 stainless for coastal and chemical plants.
- Nuts and washers per leg, and any saddle or plate.
Market note
Since October 2025 the EU applies anti-dumping duties of 54.7–72.3% to U-bolts, threaded rods and anchor bolts from China. HEXVARO mainly supplies U-bolts to the Middle East and Southeast Asia; EU buyers should check the duty before ordering.

How do I measure a U-bolt?
Measure the inside width between the legs, the inside height from the top of the bend to the leg ends, the thread diameter and the thread length. For DIN 3570, the pipe size is enough.
