Import rules change and depend on the HS code, so confirm the current requirement with your customs broker before ordering.
- Malaysia controls the import of some construction materials and iron and steel products through CIDB and SIRIM (Certificate of Approval). Whether a COA is needed depends on the product's HS code — fasteners are usually HS 7318 — and the current schedule, so confirm with your forwarder or CIDB before ordering.
- Goods made in China can qualify for preferential duty under the ASEAN–China Free Trade Area (ACFTA) with a Form E certificate of origin. We arrange Form E for qualifying shipments on request.
- We provide the commercial invoice, packing list, Form E or standard certificate of origin, mill test certificates and test reports for your customs and approval applications.

Buying fasteners for Malaysia.
How long does shipping from China to Malaysia take?
Sea freight to Port Klang typically takes about 7–12 days, and 8–14 days to Penang, plus production time (10–15 days for stock items, 25–30 days for made-to-order).
Can you provide Form E for lower import duty?
Yes. For goods that qualify under the ASEAN–China Free Trade Area, we arrange a Form E certificate of origin so your importer can claim preferential duty. Your broker confirms the applicable rate for the HS code.
Do fasteners need a CIDB or SIRIM certificate in Malaysia?
Some iron and steel and construction products need a Certificate of Approval before clearance. It depends on the HS code and current schedule, so check with your forwarder or CIDB. We supply mill certificates and test reports for the application.
Can you supply roofing screws in matching colors?
Yes. Hex washer head self-drilling roofing screws can be supplied with EPDM washers and heads painted to RAL or sample colors. Give the colors, sizes and quantity per color.
