Common mistakes that cause re-quotes
- Writing "M12 bolt" without the standard, length, or full or partial thread.
- Mixing units — some lines in pieces, others in kilograms or boxes.
- Leaving out the finish, which can change the price by 20 % or more.
- Writing "galvanized" without saying hot-dip or electroplated.
- Not saying which nuts and washers must match the bolts, especially for hot-dip galvanized items.
- Sending a photo or a scanned handwritten list instead of a spreadsheet for a large order.
- Repeating the same size on two lines with different quantities, which hides the true volume per size.
How MOQ works for mixed orders
Our reference MOQ is 500 pcs per specification — one size, grade and finish. A mixed order with many lines is welcome; lines below 500 pcs can still be reviewed and may be supplied from stock or combined with other orders. Each line is priced on its own quantity, so merging two near-identical lines (for example the same bolt in two lengths that could be standardised) can lower the price.
Packing and labelling a mixed order
- One size per carton is standard. Mixed cartons are possible but slower to pack and check.
- Ask for carton labels showing product, standard, size, grade, finish, quantity and line number, so receiving matches the order.
- Heavy items go on pallets with corner protection; long threaded rod in bundles or wooden cases.
- Request a packing list by line and carton number; it speeds up customs clearance and receiving.
Send it the easy way
Attach your size list to the RFQ form (PDF, image or CAD files up to 5 MB), email it, or send it on WhatsApp. We reply within 2 working hours with a line-by-line quotation, or with the questions needed to complete it.
Frequently asked questions
Can I send my size list as an Excel file?
Yes — email it or send it on WhatsApp. The RFQ form accepts PDF, image and CAD files up to 5 MB, so export Excel to PDF if you use the form.
Do I need to meet the MOQ on every line?
The reference MOQ is 500 pcs per specification, but smaller lines in a mixed order can still be reviewed and quoted.
How long does a mixed-size quotation take?
We reply within 2 working hours. Large lists may get a first reply with questions, followed by the full line-by-line price.
Can bolts, nuts and washers be packed together?
Yes, as sets or kits on request, which is common for hot-dip galvanized structural sets. Separate cartons per item are cheaper and faster.
Should I quote in pieces or kilograms?
Use pieces for most fasteners and metres or pieces for threaded rod. If you work in kilograms, say so on every line so the supplier can convert using standard weights.
